Shirley, You Can't Believe the New Unemployment Numbers
The new unemployment number is out. Magically, it happens to be just under the traditional figure at which presidents can't get re-elected of 8%.
It's at 7.8%
How convenient.
We're supposed to believe this when the most recent GDP numbers show an anemic 1.3% increase?
We're supposed to believe this when the U-6 number remained unchanged at 14.7%?
We're supposed to believe this when factory orders just went down 12%?
We're supposed to believe this is the biggest one-month jump in 29 years?
We're supposed to believe this?
