You Get Three Guesses Who This Brainwashed Kid's Parents Voted For, and the First Two Don't Count
I really, really wish this video wasn't true.
Really.
Somebody's got a lot of 'splainin' to do to this poor little kid. Like how you don't pray for the destruction of your country or the guy and the ideology doing it.
The sad thing is, had his parents any knowledge of the Constitution and how it was implemented in order to stop the current abuses of power, the kid would probably be singing its praises.
As the twig is bent, so grows the tree.

The Riddle of the Angel Priest UPDATED! Real Priest Found!
Here's an interesting story: a young accident victim is trapped in her car. She's seriously injured but awake through it all. At one point she asks for the emergency service people to pray out loud with her. Out of nowhere, a priest appears, anointing oil in hand, and calms both the young woman and her rescuers, then disappears.
This is, as the young'uns say, way cool.
It's possible that the priest was just passing through the area and happened upon the scene. This is the most likely scenario, at least to me. He may be found eventually and we'll learn his name and his parish.
But what if he's never found? His appearance on a road that had been closed for a quarter-mile in both directions was unexpected and his departure from the accident scene went unnoticed.
OK, that's still not unusual. Many good Samaritans don't stick around after they've helped someone. But where this story takes a turn is that the priest doesn't appear in any of the nearly 70 pictures taken at the scene.
This story just got way cooler...
UPDATE: Here's an interview with one of the police officers at the accident scene who shook hands with the priest.
UPDATED UPDATE!
The priest has been found. Rev. Patrick Dowling. Thank you, Father. What you did at the accident scene was just what was needed for the emergency responders and the victim.

Musical Political Videos
Here are more Videos You Should See.
Here is the first one. It's from Louisiana Senator Elbert Guillory explaining his recent switch from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party.
Consider this as jazz. Understated but fiery, with cool and class.

Now, here's the rock and roll version: same ideas, but cranked up to 11. E.W. Jackson is the Republican candidate for Virginia Lt. Governor.
If it's too loud, you're too old.

Join in Rand Paul's class action lawsuit against the NSA. "If you suspect me of a crime, have probable cause."
Be there or be square.
How ironic indeed. "We always wanted a President who would listen to all Americans. Now we have one."

Oh, President Obama, those voices we're supposed to dismiss: those were recorded, right?

Protest Political Correctness on July 3, 2013
From the Canadian Free Press comes this interesting idea...
More than any other cultural artifact, the PC movement dictates what can or can’t be said, and what the nature of truth is. How is it possible that a small group of elites, originally hailing from Germany, of Marxist conviction, have been allowed to dictate the outline of polite discourse for the last few decades? In fact, the PC movement is a hoax obscured under a false definition of civility. In fact, PC is the very opposite of civility, being a tyranny against free expression, driven by a Marxist cultural jihad, meant to extinguish the right of conservatives to express their beliefs, or mount principled dissent against leftism.
Pass this around.

SkyNet Speaks!
Michael Silber sends a message to Siri, then sends it to Google Voice, sends it back to Siri, which sends it back to Google Voice. Repeat until GIGO, which, apparently, doesn't take long.

The Bloomberg Opportunity for Conservatives
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, he of the salt and 16 oz soda ban, not to mention the weapon-clip ban, presents a unique opportunity. His needless meddling in the lives of others is an excellent example of what not to do when it comes to the role of government.
It also presents the occasion to form the "Bite Me" Coalition.
Kurt Schlichter over at Townhall.com has this post, courtesy of Instapundit, that goes into more detail. Here's a couple of tidbits...
We have forgotten that those we elect to office work for us. They answer to us, the people who elected them, and no one else.
They're our employees, not our bosses. We tell them what to do, and we're not doing it.
Would you take any guff from an employee who didn't do what you asked, repeatedly? Certainly not. You'd sit them down and tell them what the score was. You'd tell them to straighten up, follow orders and rules or else they'd be looking for a job in the very near future.
Attitude, yeah, I got one. Whaddaboutit?

Hmm, I'm liking what I hear.Who the hell is New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to presume that he has a say in what I or any other American chooses to drink? Of course, the answer for any self-respecting citizen is that he has no such say, and the proper response to him and his legion of petty fascist fan boys is the suggestion that they pucker up – and I will politely decline to identify what they should kiss.
It’s a sad commentary that the once boisterous, independent, take-no-guff New Yorker of the past has been replaced by a gutless, cowardly supplicant eager to obey the commands of whatever pint—sized potentate occupies Gracie Mansion. Back in the day, a real New Yorker would look that tiny troll in the mayor’s office in his beady little eyes and laugh, “Hey Mikey, I got your Big Gulp right here.”The only reason we've lost control of our government is we've seemingly forgotten our roles as American citizens. We've also lost sight of something very important, a big part of what makes us who we are as a nation.
These bossy snobs are getting out of hand, and it’s time to push back – hard. Besides being the American thing to do, resistance to this creeping liberal totalitarianism is a huge opportunity for conservatives.
