More About the People Behind the Arab Spring, Lots More

This is kind of a long article, so I'll just link it and let y'all get your own beer.

It's about the global efforts of anarchists, communists, socialists and other ne'er-do-wells to tear down capitalism, Israel and America. It appears to be an ongoing, global effort designed to destroy civilization as we know it. That is no exaggeration. These people are dead serious and have declared their hatred for freedom. We will ignore them at our peril.

The Engineers of 'Leaderless" Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street.

We really need to figure out a way to stop these people.

They are our enemies.

George Soros' Latest Effort to Take Over the World

Your favorite anti-Christ and mine, George Soros, is planning to take over the world.

Again.

Color me surprised.
He has created a new organization called INET - Institute for New Economic Thinking and has invested $50M in it.

As usual, you're job is to watch out for this organization. You and I need to make sure that this sinister effort never gains any traction anywhere. Watch your representatives in every level of government and question them any time they cite this organization or its goals for any reason.

Oh sure, it sounds innocent enough...

Three months after a summit in New York state last July, Soros pledged $50 million to INET, which promises “to promote changes in economic theory and practice” by “providing the proper guidance” to “the next generation.”

Despite its name, its philosophy is nearly a century old. The group blames the economic crisis on free market capitalism and promotes a return to the theories of John Maynard Keynes.

The current global economic crisis was not caused by free market capitalism. It was caused by governmental interference in the market. If you need another example of the failure of Keynesian economics, just take a look at us. Obama's justification for wasting some $800B on the Stimulus Bill can be found in that theory.

In other words, this new Soros organization is yet another attempt to repackage the failed economic theory of socialism. It seems that Georgie Boy wants to take advantag of the undereducated and ignorant masses to try it again.

But that's not all Soros wants to do. His goal is the destruction of the Western way of life, which is the foundation of freedom in the modern world. He also wants you and me living in poverty. One of the attendees at his forum is one Andre Wilkens. Here is what he said following Obama's election.

The challenge ahead is to manage a peaceful decline of the west while rescuing as many of the west’s liberal political and economic values as possible…We need new global governance which can both manage the ascent of China, India, Russia, Brazil as well as the relative decline of the United States and Europe. Europe and the US must concentrate on shaping this new global governance and enshrine its progressive values within it, while they still have some power to do so.
In case I haven't mentioned it lately, progressive values are not compatible with freedom. Anyone who claims to be a "Progressive," regardless of party affilliation, is an enemy of America.

And you.

We don't need any form of global governance, thank you. We here in America elect our representatives directly, and if they don't perform their duties to our satisfaction, we replace them in the next election. It's called "sovereignty" and we like it. Self-contained, local and regional representation is what it is. It's enshrined in our Constitution.

So, George, ol' buddy, ol' pal, you can take your plans to rule over me and shove 'em up your ass.

George Soros Raids Coven for New Succubus

Your favorite anti-Christ and mine, George Soros is getting married again.

His fiancee might want to talk to this previous Soros girlfiend. You know, the one he assaulted and who is now suing him for a cool $50M.

Just a little girl talk...

Know Thy Enemy: Read "The Little Blue Book"

There is a new book out called The Little Blue Book: The Essential Guide to Thinking and Talking Democratic. It's by one of the leading Progressive (read that as Communist) linguists George Lakoff. I found this article by Zombie at PJ Media linked in Ace's sidebar yesterday.

It's enlightening as it lays out how the left is instructed to speak in order to effectively sway people. You'll never guess who advocates this book. Go on, just take a guess. How about none other than Van Jones and George Soros? All fourteen of you want to read it now, right?

As soon as I become gainfully employed, I may get a copy for myself. But there's a lot to be gleaned from Zombie's post, most of which you will probably already know.

The one big thing you already know is that despite their name, Progressives are pushing an ideology from the past that has failed each and every time it has been tried. Oh, it's gone by different names depending upon where it's been tried, but the idea of governmental control of a society and its people has led to nothing except death and destruction. But that doesn't stop the brain-dead proponents of Communism, or Socialism, or Progressivism or whatever else it calls itself from attempting to repeat failure.

It's almost like Evil is a malevolent spirit that roams the Earth perpetually seeking the weak-minded to crush the Good. But that's just crazy talk, right?

Anyway, at least read Zombie's post if you don't get the book itself. It's be much easier to get the progressive cooties off of you, since there's a lot less of them.

As we're currently experiencing, modern Progressivism is a dismal failure. Make no mistake, President Obama is a Progressive, as are most in his administration. Theirs is a philosophy of control of the economy, of speech, action and thought. Think Orwell's 1984. Look around you and marvel at three short years of it. What do you see? Sky high unemployment, a piss poor economy, tens of thousands of federal regulations acting like a python squeezing the life out of a once-great country and its people.

And 52% of America wanted it. I hope y'all are happy.

It's helpful to understand, or at least try to understand, what passes for contemporary progressive "thought." Anyone with a toehold on Reality can see right through the falsehoods and illusory premises that forms the foundation of this soul-crushing ideology.

Let's begin with the false assumption of the author: The traditional family is the source of evil in American life. A strong father and a cooperative mother are the enemy of progressives, as this quote proves...

(warning for high-minded condescension ahead)

The idealized conservative family is structured around a strict father who is the natural leader of the family. Because the world is a dangerous place, and evil a force in the world, he has to be strong to protect his family. He is moral and knows right from wrong. Because children are born just doing what feels good rather than what is good, he has to teach them right from wrong by punishing them when they do wrong so they will do right in the future. Because he knows what to do, his authority is absolute and unchallengeable. He sets the rules, and is, in short, the decider. Physical discipline is necessary to produce moral discipline. The enforcement of rules must be strict or they will cease to be followed. Love is tough love; discipline is a form of love. Toughness is important and a measure of moral strength. Better to discipline too often than too little. The role of the mother is to uphold the authority of the father. If she does not, she too may be disciplined as well.
Funny how that model served us well for only a few thousand years or so.

It's around here that the shit starts getting deep as Lakoff makes a weak attempt to show how the "progressive" family is oh-so-much-more smarter and betterer than those troglodyte, knuckle-dragging, Bible-toting conservatives...

The progressive family has parents of equal authority. Their central moral role requires empathy with each other and their children; it requires self-responsibility and responsibility for the well-being of other family members. Respect for parents comes not from fear of punishment but from admiration and a sense of cooperation. Behavioral standards and limits play a crucial role in this model. They are always subject to questioning and explanation, but parents have the last word because they are ultimately responsible. This requires open communication, transparency about family rules, shared decision-making, and need-based fairness. The outcomes of family life require the cooperation of the whole family, working together working together as a family system.

There are so many things wrong with that comparison that's it's difficult to know exactly where to begin to cite them. First, there's the author's assumption that the two models are mutually exclusive of each other. Next comes the complete absence of a strong role model in the progressive one. Third, there are so many buzzwords and catchphrases in the progressive example that my head hurts. Yeah, I'm dazzled, now shut up already.

Now ask yourself if the progressive model, which these intellectuals are currently forcing on us against our will, is the one outlined. Where is the cooperation? Where is the fairness? Where is the morality? Where is the self-determination? Where's the kumbay-ya, Lord?

Most of all, where is the freedom?

That last sentence of the progressive model family tells me everything I need to know about the author: he is a big-letter-C Communist. The collective is all that matters, preferably with him in control of you. This is the common thread that runs through this flawed mindset, and is the nature of all human suffering throughout history.

It really is that simple.

Nowhere in the leftist philosophy is there any recognition of the individual making his or her life better through self-interest (not greed, as it is mischaracterized by the left), and making other people's lives better as a side effect. Nowhere is the spark of individual innovation responsible for the elevation of mankind, as evidenced by the Twentieth American Century (despite the best efforts of the progressives to squash it). Nowhere is there an Einstein, a Pasteur, a Carver, a Whitney, it's all The Collective.

If you haven't done so already, I'll do it now and call Bullshit on this whole idea.

Anyway, read the link and educate yourself. I've just scratched the surface of the sheen of this turd that the author is trying so hard to polish. Familiarize yourself with your enemy, learn their tactics and puncture their bubble with the Truth you know in your heart. Buy the book, or at least borrow it if you're like me and don't want to give them any money.

Obama Implements Soros' "Open Society" Agenda

In case you somehow missed it, last Friday President Obama decided to bypass Congress and ignore the Constitution to implement a backdoor amnesty program for illegal aliens.

If you've been wondering why Eric Holder and the Department of Justice have been suing states like Arizona and Florida to keep them from requiring voters to produce a valid identification at the polls, wonder no more. The other shoe has dropped.

This comes as Obama's approval numbers are sinking and his popularity is diminishing by the day. Despite saying that this "wasn't a political decision," the results from his refusal to enforce immigration laws say otherwise.

This is also a mistake from an economic standpoint: at a time of near-record high unemployment, allowing some 800,000 young illegals to compete in the job market will only make things worse.

Even some on the left have started to notice that this president has more in common with tinpot banana republic dictators than with any American President. From the Politico site: Obama's policy strategy: Ignore laws.

Rather than pushing new laws through a divided Congress to enact his agenda, Obama is relying on federal agencies to ignore, or at least not defend, laws that some of his important supporters — like Hispanic voters and the gay community — don’t like.

“If the president says we’re not going to enforce the law, there’s really nothing anyone can do about it,” University of Pennsylvania constitutional law professor Kermit Roosevelt said. “It’s clearly a political calculation.”

A White House official said the strategy is the result of a stalemate in Washington.

There is a "stalemate" in Washington for a very good reason. The 2010 midterm election was a message and a mandate that the country sent to this administration. In no uncertain terms, we said we wanted this leftward lurch to stop.

There are a few more things we the people want: we don't want our Constitution ignored, we want all of our laws enforced, and we damned sure don't want some power-hungry leftist's "one world government" agenda imposed upon us.

Madness Plus Money Equals George Soros

The Medial Research Center has this most excellent investigative report on your favorite anti-Christ and mine, George Soros. As all fourteen of you know, I'm not a fan of this man. I've followed his career for a while, noticed his destructive influence in American politics and heard about his various left-wing meddlings in other governments around the world.

Even I didn't fully realize the full depth and breadth of his crusade to "fundamentally transform" the world. This article entitled Special Report: George Soros: Godfather of the Left spells out an awful lot, with the emphasis on awful.

If you've ever wondered how the anti-freedom, anti-nationalistic and anti-American movements here and around the world have managed to gain such notoriety over the past couple of decades, wonder no more. It's primarily the result of one man and his maniacal quest to destroy countries, their forms of government and your life.

Here are a few tidbits:

Say the name George Soros and liberals see dollar signs – literally. The world’s 22nd richest man, according to Forbes, is now worth $20 billion. But Soros isn’t just noteworthy for the money he has – he’s notable for the money he has given away. Since launching his Open Society Foundations in 1984, Soros has donated more than $8 billion to charities around the world.

But instead of gaining a mighty reputation for his philanthropy, or his investment prowess, Soros is reviled abroad and criticized here in his adopted country. Most everywhere Soros, his foundations or his investing have gone, trouble has followed. He’s helped foment revolutions, undermined national currencies and funded radicals around the world. Soros has been convicted of insider dealing in France and fined $3 million, fined another $2 million in his native Hungary. His “foundations have been accused of shielding spies and breaking currency laws” and his investing strategy has been targeted for harming several national currencies.

As you can see, it's not just us that he seeks to destroy, but pretty much the entire world. I won't try to psychoanalyze the guy, I don't feel like taking the time. Suffice to say, this dude is dangerous to freedom loving people everywhere.

What I will say is, he seems to hold the strangely popular philosophical movement of Postmodernism close to his heart. For those of you who are new to this form of insanity, it's basically a rejection of modern Western thought wherein the observations and beliefs of ancient thinkers are replaced with, um, pretty much nothing. In short, there is no such thing as Truth, or Beauty or God, or anything other than Man and Power.

It's sick. But it's popular. Why, I couldn't tell you.

Some of Soros's other donations go to fund his extensive network of liberal media outlets, which have received more than $52 million. Those operations include a wide range of liberal news operations as well as the infrastructure of news - journalism schools, investigative journalism and even industry organizations.

All of that is designed to create what Soros has been pushing for decades to achieve - what he calls an "open society." But what exactly is an open society? In "Open Society: Reforming Global Capitalism," he wrote that the concept is "an ideal to which our global society should aspire." But his influences are more complicated and more twisted.

Soros says he based the concept on works by philosopher Karl Popper, who Soros considers his mentor. "Popper proposed a form of social organization that starts with the recognition that no claim to the ultimate truth can be validated and therefore no group should be allowed to imposed its views on all of the rest," Soros wrote in "The Age of Fallibility: Consequences of the War on Terror." "Open Society denotes freedom and the absence of repression," he summed up.

What a crock of shit.

I read this and I truly wonder whatever happened to the idea of sedition. How can someone else enter a country, start throwing money around in a clear attempt to overthrow its government, and not be punished? Unless, that is, those entrusted to enforce the law have received their own twenty pieces of silver to ignore it.

Anyway, there's a lot to read here, so open your favorite beverage and educate yourself. You may squirm for a while, but that's far preferable to living in ignorance of the man who is your enemy.

Know him.

What You Should Know About the Left's Personal Terrorist, Brett Kimberlin

The past few days have been hell for a fellow conservative blogger named Robert Stacy McCain. He and his family have been forced to flee his former residence and is now in hiding, thanks to a convicted domestic terrorist-turned left-wing activist named Brett Kimberlin, also known as the Speedway Bomber.

He is on the payroll of Teresa Heinz-Kerry, Barbara Streisand and your favorite anti-Christ and mine, George Soros.

Here's an introduction to the left's very own personal terrorist:

I wonder if Little Billy Ayers is jealous?

More info here. And here.

From the last link to Fox News in 2010...

Even before his release from prison 10 years ago, Brett Kimberlin had learned a lesson that has served him well: If you publicly accuse a well-known political figure of crimes or misdeeds -- even without proof -- publicity and money will follow.

Kimberlin, a convicted bomber and drug dealer, learned that lesson in 1988, when he claimed from his prison cell that he had been Dan Quayle’s marijuana dealer in college. The claim got a lot of attention because Quayle was running for vice president of the United States at the time.

Now, 22 years later, Kimberlin has taken that lesson and made unfounded accusations a profession of sorts. Using two popular leftist blogs, the 56-year-old from Bethesda, Md., has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars from the public and left-leaning foundations by promising to put conservatives he disagrees with in jail, often with offers of large rewards. So far -- without success -- he has called for the arrest of Karl Rove, Andrew Breitbart, Chamber of Commerce head Tom Donohue, Massey Energy Chairman Don Blankenship and other high-profile public figures.

This guy is a bad actor and the Left loves him. It's curious how many times he has been allowed, through the non-actions of various state prosecutors, to slip through the cracks. He should be back in jail.

LightSquared Files for Bankruptcy

As y'all know, I've covered the LightSquared story extensively here. Today, I have some good news: LightSquared has filed for bankruptcy in what is hopefully the death throes of this company and the crony socialism it represented.

LightSquared, based in Reston, Virginia, listed assets of $4.48 billion and debt of $2.29 billion as of Feb. 29 in a Chapter 11 filing yesterday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan. The filing followed intense negotiations with creditors, who had requested that the company’s backer, Philip Falcone, step aside. Falcone and the current management team will remain with the company, Terry Neal, a LightSquared spokesman, said yesterday.

Good riddance. And suck it, George Soros.

Why Don't We Hear the Truth from the Media? George Soros, that's why.

If you've spent any time here, you know how I feel about one of the biggest dangers to our country, our freedom and our way of life, the anti-Christ George Soros. He is Domestic Enemy #1 (if you don't count all the Progressive/Communists in Washington, that is).

Soros literally owns the left's propaganda machine in America. Our own little Progressive Pravda isn't an arm of the government, at least not officially.

In an ongoing effort to educate the public about how this despicable excuse of a man is busy trying to destroy our country, I present an article from the Media Research Center's Business and Media Institute that outlines the many "news" organizations that have received funding from Soros and his various radical, left-wing organizations. Understand that many of these organizations are tax-exempt non-profit organizations, which are supposed to be non-partisan. Any political observations they make would, in a world where everything wasn't backwards, disqualify them from this special exemption.

When liberal investor George Soros gave $1.8 million to National Public Radio, it became part of the firestorm of controversy that jeopardized NPR's federal funding. But that gift only hints at the widespread influence the controversial billionaire has on the mainstream media. Soros, who spent $27 million trying to defeat President Bush in 2004, has ties to more than 30 mainstream news outlets - including The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC.

Do read it all. Educate yourself, remember the names of the people and organizations who are actively involved in deceiving you and keeping you in the dark. Beware of those who love evil and despise the truth.

When one man controls what you see and hear in media, you will hear only what he wants you to hear. You will see what he wants you to see. And you will think what he wants you to think.

Daily Caller exposes Media Matters for America's Far Left Agenda

In case you haven't heard about it yet, The Daily Caller has been digging into the radical, far-left, Progressive (but I repeat myself) organization Media Matters for America.

Here is today's article. It delves into a few of MMfA's donors, among whom is your favorite anti-Christ and mine, George Soros.

It would appear as though MSNBC is a primary outlet for MMfA's propaganda. They aren't the only ones. I strongly urge you to spend some quality time over at the DC sifting through their articles on this domestic enemy. Be sure to tell your friends too, as I'm surprised by the people I've talked to who have never heard of MMfA or their role in distorting the "news" and spreading disinformation.

It's their goal to keep you confused and mislead.

Why Are the Corps of Engineers Intentionally Allowing the Midwest Floods?

This is one of those days when I’m just full of questions.

Take the flooding in the Midwest along the Missouri river. I ran across this item over at Ace of Spades HQ this weekend entitled Corps of Engineers Mobilize to Protect Random Critters and Bogs: American Men, Women and Children Hardest Hit. All snark aside, it got me wondering about a few things.

Like, is the Missouri river system of dams being intentionally mismanaged so as to cause the flooding of millions of acres by radical environmental policies that put animals above the needs of people?

It would appear so, especially after reading this link from Ace’s post (actually, it’s Dave in Texas’ post) The Purposeful Flooding of America's Heartland from the American Thinker blog.
Some sixty years ago, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) began the process of taming the Missouri by constructing a series of six dams. The idea was simple: massive dams at the top moderating flow to the smaller dams below, generating electricity while providing desperately needed control of the river's devastating floods.

The stable flow of water allowed for the construction of the concrete and earthen levees that protect more than 10 million people who reside and work within the river's reach. It allowed millions of acres of floodplain to become useful for farming and development. In fact, these uses were encouraged by our government, which took credit for the resulting economic boom. By nearly all measures, the project was a great success.

But after about thirty years of operation, as the environmentalist movement gained strength throughout the seventies and eighties, the Corps received a great deal of pressure to include some specific environmental concerns into their MWCM (Master Water Control Manual, the "bible" for the operation of the dam system). Preservation of habitat for at-risk bird and fish populations soon became a hot issue among the burgeoning environmental lobby. The pressure to satisfy the demands of these groups grew exponentially as politicians eagerly traded their common sense for "green" political support.

Things turned absurd from there. An idea to restore the nation's rivers to a natural (pre-dam) state swept through the environmental movement and their allies. Adherents enlisted the aid of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), asking for an updated "Biological Opinion" from the FWS that would make ecosystem restoration an "authorized purpose" of the dam system. The Clinton administration threw its support behind the change, officially shifting the priorities of the Missouri River dam system from flood control, facilitation of commercial traffic, and recreation to habitat restoration, wetlands preservation, and culturally sensitive and sustainable biodiversity.

Granted, I never thought about it until then. I mean, I knew that radical, far-left, anti-human environmentalists have found a home in our government, but I hadn’t considered that their infiltration would be so serious as to willfully cause the death of Americans and the destruction of so much land.

Although I did know it had been done before. In California’s Central Valley, what was once rich farmland has been turned into a dustbowl after our very own EPA shut off the water supply they say threatens some useless fish. And when I say useless, I mean we can’t eat them. And I’m still wondering why the good people of California are putting up with this blatant violation of our Constitution. After all, our government is supposed to promote the general welfare of the populace, and this action certainly doesn’t qualify.

In fact, I’m frankly surprised that the California governor hasn’t sent in Guard troops to turn the irrigation pumps back on. If I were Gerry Brown, or even Arnold Schwarzenegger, I would have already done so, and dared anyone in Washington to do anything about it. I would have stood up for the people I was elected to represent and would’ve fought any effort by the federal government to prohibit our basic right to feed ourselves.

But that’s just me.

I also wonder why this issue hasn’t been brought before the Supreme Court. I can’t think of a more egregious violation of our constitution than this, but I think the Missouri basin flooding may even be worse.

Another question is, and I’m really getting tired of asking this one, is noted America-hater George Soros involved in this?

Well, what do you know? It seems he is. This post from Radio Patriot entitled Who's Buying Up Flood Ravaged Farmland cites none other than cattle trader Ann Barnhardt. If her name sounds familiar, it’s because I posted the videos of her burning a koran several weeks ago. She’s somewhat of a firebrand.

1. File this one under “Now It All Makes Sense”. A Missouri farming and ranching contact just got off a conference call wherein he was informed that the federal government is sending out letters to all of the flooded out farmers in the Missouri River flood plain and bottoms notifying them that the Army Corps of Engineers will offer to BUY THEIR LAND.

Intentionally flood massive acreage of highly productive farmground. Destroy people’s communities and homes. Catch them while they are desperate and afraid and then swoop in and buy the ground cheap. Those evil sons of bitches.

2. Speaking of evil sons of bitches, George Soros appears to be “investing” in farmground through the same puppet company that he used to get into the grain elevator and fertilizer business. The company is called Ospraie Capital Management and is buying up farmground in a joint venture with Teays River Investments as a partner.
If any of you gentle readers know anyone in the Midwest that has been affected by this apparently intentional flooding, you should inform them of these links.

I have more questions: Why isn’t Darryl Issa investigating this?

And more importantly, why are we allowing our government to do this to us?

How Wonderful! You Are Subsidizing George Soros’ Propaganda Machine

Genius.

That’s what it is.

Pure Evil Genius.

I posted this a while back, warning you about the George Soros Propaganda Machine.
Imagine for a moment that you’re bombarded with information.

Now imagine all that information is incorrect.

Imagine further that it’s all designed to make you think a certain way, and therefore, vote a certain way. It’s possible for you to cast a vote for a candidate who, once in office, would begin to work against your best interests and those of the country.

I can now add one more item to that “imaginary” list.

Imagine that you’re helping to subsidize it with your own money.
Imagine no more, gentle reader. You really are paying your own money to be misinformed and propagandized.

Where else could a Nazi sympathizer and rabid anti-American billionaire like George Soros erect a media empire aided by the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance bill and Hillary Clinton to get Americans to pay for their own downfall?

Is this a great country or what?

I’m not the only one to notice this. The Washington Post has this article about Soros’s Media Matters “war on Fox.”

David Brock, the conservative turned liberal advocate, has recently garnered a considerable amount of press coverage for his attacks on Fox News for, among many other things, allegedly taking over leadership of the Republican Party. What the news coverage has ignored is his use of tax-free funds for his organization, Media Matters for America (MMA), for these attacks — a form of government support for activities that clearly do not merit tax-exempt status and that as a result infringe on Fox News’ First Amendment rights.

MMA was originally established as an Internal Revenue Service Section 501(c)(3) organization, that is, an organization that can receive tax-deductible contributions to engage in educational activities. The more precise purpose was to counter alleged media bias and so to “identify occurrences of excessive bias in the American media, educate the public as to their existence, and to work with members of the media to reduce them.”

MMA’s activities should disallow its tax-exempt status in two fundamental ways. First, IRS rulings make clear that attacks on individuals, statement of positions that are unsupported by facts and use of inflammatory language and other distortions will cost an organization its tax-free status. Second, in declaring “guerrilla warfare” on Fox as the “leader” and “mouthpiece” of the Republican Party and in developing a sophisticated Democratic-leaning media training boot camp, MMA has transformed itself into an aggressive advocate for Democratic and progressive causes and thus produced a second deviation from exempt educational activities.
Oh, and about that “bias” thingy…

MMA’s role as a Democratic training camp parallels exactly the operations of the American Campaign Academy (ACA), which was denied tax-exempt status by the IRS in 1989. ACA operated a school of intensive training for people planning to be campaign professionals. The facts showed, however, that most of the program’s graduates were Republicans, as were the officials who ran it and the funders who donated to it, and it was based on materials developed by the Republican National Committee.
Hmm, I wonder if this will get the scrutiny it deserves in front of a Congressional investigative committee?

Don’t you?

George Soros and His Marvelous Propaganda Machine

Apparently unbeknownst to anyone in the MSM, a quiet revolution in American and world media is under way. Your friend and mine, George Soros, is a very busy boy and has been for a while. Recently, a few articles have emerged outlining his quest for media dominance, like these two from Fox News.com, here and here, and another one here from the Media Research Center. Do yourself a favor, click and read them all.

Lots of pies and apparently, lots of fingers to stick in them.

Soros’ dislike of America and freedom should be well known by now. He isn’t bashful when it comes to criticizing America and the universal ideals that we embody. He’ll use flowery prose and couch his criticisms in sort of a “Gee whiz, America’s just awful, isn’t it?” linguistic shuffle of the feet, as if it’s common knowledge that there seems to be something wrong with us, history be damned.

Nothing that a New World Order wouldn’t cure, mind you.

Before I continue, there’s something you should know: this man truly hates you. In true psychotic form, he considers anyone who opposes him, or his agenda, to be his enemy.

His reign of terror around the world is well known, especially to those whose economies he’s destroyed. He’s a world player with not only money, but politics, too. (He’s known affectionately as “the man who broke the Bank of England,” making over $1 billion dollars at the expense of the British people. They weren’t the first, either.)

Ask yourself why a private citizen from any other country would try so hard to influence American politics, especially to the degree that Soros has inserted his considerable resources into the forming of  false public opinion. He spent some $25 million dollars in 2004 to defeat George Bush and has spent many more millions building a media empire that has as its goal the defeat of freedom, America, and the Western way of life.

I hate to flog a deceased equine, but this also falls into the theme of propaganda and mental conditioning. I’ll get to that shortly.

Let’s hop in the Way Back Machine and go all the way back to last April. The esteemed Mr. Soros gathered his faithful followers in Boston for this event, the National Conference for Media Reform. Among the rogue’s’ gallery of “presenters” (does that mean that they were present?) were well known socialist Senator Bernie Sanders and well known moonbat Nancy Pelosi. (I found this page to be so chocked full of lefty goodness that I’m bookmarking it for further reference. It’s a veritable wellspring of information as to who either is on the Soros payroll or wishes they were, along with publications and organizations to avoid.)

Now, why would anyone want to “reform” media? The traditional role of a journalist is to gather raw information and arrange it in an organized way to accurately inform the public. Call me old school, but I still subscribe to the “who, what, when, where” formula of journalism and leave the “why” to the opinion page.

That’s journalistic integrity at its finest and was the basis for the justifiable pride that reporters once felt about their chosen profession. However, that model was “reformed” a long time ago and seems no longer to be a function of American media. This helps to explain why Candidate Obama wasn’t properly vetted during his run.

That, and just outright stupidity.

But I digress.

Pure, true journalism seems dead. What we have now is opinion masquerading as legitimate reporting, but you knew that already. With the explosion in information in recent years, the likelihood of you receiving accurate information with which to make sound political judgments is small and diminishing by the year, if not the month. You can no longer rely upon the evening news to tell you the truth, if you ever could.

That’s where the New Media comes in. This blog and the others like it are fine examples. You must dig to find accurate information, because the MSM won’t tell you certain things, especially when it comes to politics. While I mourn the death of journalistic integrity on the part of the MSM, the alternatives have become so much fun to read that I’m almost glad it’s happened. Click on any of the links in my sidebar: you’ll get far more accuracy, pith, and good-natured snark than anywhere else I can think of. Very few of these sites existed ten years ago.

Now the danger is that, with Soros effectively in charge of a large and growing media empire, they will start to broadcast misinformation. In fact, this is already happening. Springing forth fully formed as a “respected, non-partisan” media organizations, many of these newly created media monsters are already feeding their propaganda to a willing (and drooling) mainstream press to whom fact-checking is some lost art, spoken of in hushed and reverent tones by some, but largely remaining a mystery.

If you’ll remember my recent post on Mental Conditioning, I explored the modern-day form of propaganda, Astroturfing. This wonderful new (and ethically challenged) twist on the old Soviet tactic of bamboozling the people involves what could be accurately called electronic peer pressure. Ideas, notions, and a seemingly prevailing attitude are all that’s needed to make folk think something is true when it isn’t. Its’ power lies in its subtlety and in its ubiquity. It’s everywhere and it all says pretty much the same thing. You want to be in with all the cool people, don’t you? Well, this is what those cool people are saying. You don’t want to be uncool, do you? Do you?

(It should be noted that research into the mind with the goal of manipulating it isn’t some far out conspiracy theory: it was actually practiced and actively explored by the Soviets during the Cold War. Here’s a link to a book on the subject from the good people over at FHU. You can download it for a paltry $5 and is well worth your time to read.)

Sound familiar?

George Soros Has Been a Busy Little Boy Lately

The Man Who Just Loves America is getting a bit restless these days. His name keeps popping up like some deranged, frothing Whack-a-Mole head. But the good part is, where, several years ago, no one had heard of him outside of the circle of high financiers, his antics are now subject to a bit more publicity. After his efforts to defeat George Bush in the 2004 presidential election, we on the right have come to understand this guy as Public Enemy Number One.

I’ve done a bit of research on him, as have several others. Our radar has been recalibrated to seek out his movements, and the screens updated to recognize the serpentine signature that defines him and his efforts to overthrow the United States and eliminate our way of life. There is only one thing you need to know:

This guy hates you.

The reason why is anyone’s guess.

The fact remains that he is doing everything in his considerable power to sway public opinion in favor of his twisted plan for “world governance” and an “open, global society” (under his control, naturally) with America in a greatly reduced role, except for our money. Whatever you may think of Glenn Beck, he has dedicated himself to making sure that Soros’ agenda is not ignored. For that, Beck has been the target of repeated boycotts of his show by various arms of the Soros Media Manipulation Machine.

So, when the radar alarms sounded their claxon call, this came up on the screens in big, bold letters, “On April 8, a group he’s funded with $50 million is holding a major economic conference and Soros’s goal for such an event is to “establish new international rules” and “reform the currency system.” It’s all according to a plan laid out in a Nov. 4, 2009, Soros op-ed calling for “a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial order.”

Hmm, a “grand bargain” from a Nazi sympathizer and collaborator? What could possibly go wrong?

All five of my readers know that I’m not particularly keen on this whole global economy thingy. We are in a unique situation as the world’s largest economy (for now), yet the rules of economic engagement no longer serve to protect the American worker from disruptions elsewhere in the world, as the disaster in Japan has so ably demonstrated. In fact, had we the manufacturing capability we once had, we might be in a better position to help the good people of Japan.

But I digress. The fact that Soros is assembling some of his closest henchmen advisors employees to reengineer the whole world’s economy should have you clicking furiously to research this. Or reaching for the nearest adult beverage. Or both.

Not content with that little exercise in subversion, this weekend the alarms sounded again with this dire warning, "The liberal group Media Matters has quietly transformed itself in preparation for what its founder, David Brock, described in an interview as an all-out campaign of “guerrilla warfare and sabotage” aimed at the Fox News Channel."

Another Hmmm. "Warfare and sabotage" of a popular news channel brought by a Nazi sympathizer and collaborator?

It’s becoming clear that this guy aims to brainwash Americans into believing things that aren’t true. Naturally, the question arises, “Why would anyone want to do this?” Maybe it’s just me, but I haven’t yet found an answer that comforts me and makes me think that I’ll be better off in any way.

Ironically, it’s this latest effort that seems to run afoul of the law. Media Matters currently operates as a tax-exempt organization, and that status depends on the stipulation that they not support any political organizations or candidates in any way. By engaging in this new tactic, Media Matters is guilty of tax evasion. Normally, I’d be content to let our justice system work its magic and expect that either Media Matters stand down or start paying taxes like every other political organization does.

Normally.

But with this administration, I no longer have that confidence in my government to enforce the law. Eric Holder has repeatedly shown contempt for certain laws and has demonstrated on numerous occasions his penchant for selective enforcement of them. Constitutionality aside, one expects everyone to play by the same rules. Not so Holder. I’m still waiting for a Congressional investigation into his quite illegal antics.

One has to wonder, at what point does speech cross the line that separates freedom of expression from open sedition?

Any way, rest well knowing that George Soros is busy, busy, busy trying to destroy your country.

Paper Blood – The Global Economic War Against the US

I admit there are days when I wish I weren’t interested in politics. I could just boot up my computer, kick back with a cup of coffee, and entertain myself with Oscar results, the travails of Lindsey Lohan, or the latest buzz on American Idol contestants. But due to some curse, I find myself drawn to all things political, mesmerized by the efforts of mankind to rule himself. The juxtaposition of human nature and the machinations of government draw me in just as surely as a well-crafted song. High points, low points, counterpoint, tension and release, all played out on the stage of life.

This song came to mind as the soundtrack for today’s act…

While perusing the Interwebs this morning, I ran across a link at the Blogfather’s site, Instapundit.com. With his usual understatement, it goes like this:

ECONOMIC WARFARE: Was the U.S. a victim of an economic 9/11 in 2008? Unclassified DoD report at the link.

What I found at that link was cause for concern. Great concern. A lot of great concern. A metric shit-ton of it in fact.

Contained in that report, aside from a great deal of financial information that I was unaware of (being the layman economist that I am), were the details of a global effort to bring down the US market. The breadth and depth of the effort took me by surprise, as it will you if you’re brave enough to read it.

I must warn you, it isn’t for the squeamish.

The average American, upon reading this, would be quite rightly befuddled at the concept of anyone else in the world going to such lengths to harm us. The overwhelming majority of us want nothing more than to have a good job so we can provide for our families. We haven’t personally done anything to warrant such a reaction from anyone in any other country. We don’t want to subjugate anyone else, in fact the opposite is true. We are more than willing to share our freedom and prosperity with others. However, as we are slowly finding out, the rest of the world would rather destroy us than to have their own people live in peace and freedom. Such is power of corruption and the corruption of power.

Since this report is over 100 pages, it’s a thick read. Just my own notes were enough for a week’s worth of posts, but since I know you guys don’t care for that much detail here, I’ll try to limit this post to just the highlights. Take note of this: there is little in the way of conspiracy theories in it. All the evidence of a global financial jihad against us has already occurred.

The report points to the obvious enemies of radical Islam but also includes other well-known enemies who are working behind the scenes to topple our government, and with that, destroy our way of life. We’ll start with Osama bin Laden’s remarks in his 21 December 2001 message:

“… The economic bleeding is continuing to date, but it requires further strikes. The young people should make an effort to look for the key pillars of the US economy. The key pillars of the enemy should be struck, God willing... Thanks to Almighty God, those blessed attacks, as they themselves admitted, have inflicted on the New York and other markets more than a trillion dollars in losses. …hitting the economic structure…is basic for the military power... It is very important to concentrate on hitting the US economy through all possible means.”

We’ve heard these statements before from him, what we haven’t heard is how he plans to carry out his goal of our economic destruction. It’s here that this report details the financial instruments through which our enemies can wage an economic war on American interests and institutions. And just so you know, it’s pretty much everybody: Iran, OPEC, Russia, North Korea, Hugo Chavez, and George Soros all have a hand in this.

You’ll learn about Sovereign Wealth Funds and how they financed “bear raids.” You’ll also discover the curious differences between two similar raids of Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers. You’ll find out why Credit Default Swaps are dangerous to companies that aren’t in the housing market. Ditto for hedge funds and short selling.

Especially enlightening is the section that chronicles the running up of oil prices in 2007 despite any drastic disruptions to the world supply.

Although replete with references to the financial hows and whys that cause most people’s eyes to glaze over, the author does a good job of defining them and giving short explanations of how they work. If you don’t yet know how short selling works or what a “bear raid” is and the damage it can cause, you’ll know when you finish reading the report.

You’ll also be scared shitless.

Your Main Enemy - George Soros

I'm still moving, lots of walls to repair and paint.

But I want you to go to this link and watch Glenn Beck expose the anti-Christ George Soros. In fact, make sure you watch his show all week, as he is performing a national service by showing just how this vile animal is doing his best to destroy the United States. I've known about him for a while, but even I was aghast at the depth and breadth of his hatred for us. If you've wondered why so many things in American politics just don't make sense, you'll soon understand.

This man hates you for no good reason and is doing everything in his power to make sure you, your family, and your country no longer exists.

Know your enemy.

What “Progressives” Want for America

It has come to this, my friends: what appears to be a homeless man on his knees before our President.

This picture should haunt all of us. There is no reason for this to be happening in America.

This is not us. This is the result of “progressive” philosophy and policy in Washington. Does this look like progress to you?

Progressive policy encourages this. Progressive policy thinks we should all be on our knees instead of on our feet. Progressive policy wants us to be dependent upon the Nanny State for our every need. Progressive policy wants to take from the productive and give to the slothful: not those who cannot care for themselves, but those who will not care for themselves.

This has happened because we trusted lying politicians. While we were working to provide the American Dream to our families, lying politicians were scheming behind closed doors to disregard our Constitution and the principles and freedoms that it was intended to secure, saying one thing to our faces and doing something else once safely in office and wrapped in the thick, insulating blanket of self-importance.

This is not us. This is, however, what we have permitted to happen by not engaging in politics and thinking that someone else would look out for our interests. Do you need any more proof before you become interested in your government and who is in it?

Take this picture to the polls tomorrow as a reminder of what we’ve allowed and vow to yourself that this will not be you, or your children, or anyone you know.

Vote as if your life depends upon it. Send a message that we will no longer tolerate this in our country. Send a message to those we elect that we will be watching their every move from now on. Send a message that they will start to govern as we, the majority of Americans, want them to govern. That we expect them to make our lives easier, less complicated by unnecessary government restrictions, high taxes and crushing debt. That we expect accountability from them. That we expect them to tell us the truth all the time. Tell them that we will not accept anything less, and, should they fail to do what we ask, they will be replaced with someone who will.

Vote.

Fisking the Anti-Christ, George Soros

The Financial Times has an article online today by noted America hater George Soros. In it, Soros, far from seeming knowledgeable about finance, pens a rambling, incoherent analysis of our current financial problems, in which he no doubt played a part. As usual, when it comes to our enemies, and make no mistake, Mr. Soros falls into that category, expect confusion and misleading statements.

America needs stimulus not virtue is the title, and even that is misleading. America is in dire need of virtue, particularly from the people it sends to Washington to represent her. In recent years, these people have said one thing in order to get themselves elected and abandoned their promises once they arrive. So strong is the allure of power that precious few can resist its siren call.

But I digress.

Soros begins with a falsehood and proceeds downhill from there.

The Obama administration’s insistence on fiscal rectitude is dictated not by financial necessity but by political considerations.
There is no insistence on any kind of fiscal decency, as his goal is clearly to employ the Cloward-Piven strategy of placing so many demands on “the system” that it becomes incapable of sustaining itself and collapses under its own weight in order to foment political revolution. The massive debt he and his corrupt “progressive” enablers in Congress have engineered is planned and well thought out.

The US is not in the position of Europe’s heavily indebted countries, which must pay hefty premiums over the price at which Germany can borrow.

Really George? In case you missed it, we’re in jeopardy of losing our AAA credit rating. Try again.

President Barack Obama is under political pressure. Americans are deeply troubled by the accumulation of public debt.

You’re getting warm there, George. We know that Washington’s balance sheet is just like the one we have to balance at home every month. Washington’s just has more zeros. A lot more zeros. And deficit spending makes about as much sense in Washington as it does for us, which is none.

The Republican opposition has been extremely successful in blaming the crash of 2008 and the subsequent recession and high unemployment on government ineptitude. But the crash of 2008 was primarily a failure of the private sector. US (and other) regulators should be faulted for failing to regulate.

Not so fast there, Georgie. Here’s what really happened.

The lending standards for home mortgage loans changed substantially beginning in the mid-1990s. The looser lending standards did not just happen. They were the result of federal policy designed to promote more home ownership among households with incomes below the median. While home ownership is a worthy goal, it was not pursued directly through transparent budget allocations and subsidies to homebuyers. Instead, the federal government imposed a complex set of regulations and mandates that forced various lending institutions to extend more loans to low- and moderate-income households. In order to meet these mandates, lending standards had to be reduced. By the early years of the 21st century, it was possible to borrow more (relative to your income) and purchase a house or condo with a lower down payment than was the case a decade earlier.

George, in the future, please try to keep your facts straight. The mortgage meltdown was caused as a direct result of government regulations, (particularly the Community Redevelopment Act, as rewritten by Clinton) not the lack of them. Lenders were following the law, as they must.
I believe there is a strong case for further stimulus. Admittedly, consumption cannot be sustained indefinitely by running up the national debt. The imbalance between consumption and investment must be corrected. But to cut government spending at a time of large-scale unemployment would be to ignore the lessons of history.

I believe that we need a stimulus, but not the kind you’re talking about. We now know that Obama’s Stimulus was a huge mistake, one that ran our deficit through the roof with no positive effect on unemployment, or GDP, or anything else except the special interests who received lump sums of cash.

And if anyone is ignoring the lesson of history, it would be your puppet Obama. Many Americans remember how we pulled out of the last prolonged recession in the late ‘70’s: it was Ronald Reagan’s stimulus of the private sector that created the largest peace-time expansion of our economy is history, one that lasted until “progressives” infested the Republican Party and began their long, slow march to dismantle the economy again.

But we can’t blame you guys, it’s what you do. Your own history in manipulating world markets is well documented, and your penchant for causing financial harm to innocent citizens the world over is well known by those of us who follow these things. We also know, by your own words and actions, that nothing would make you any happier than to bring America to its knees as witnessed by your founding and funding of the various extreme left-wing groups like Media Matters, Think Progress, and MoveOn.org.

The obvious solution is to distinguish between investments and current consumption, and increase the former while reducing the latter. But that seems politically untenable. Most Americans are convinced that government is incapable of managing investments aimed at improving the country’s physical and human capital.

Actually, I’ll give you credit for getting that one right. Americans see massive fraud and waste and accurately surmise that government in incapable of “managing investments”, especially when we see  $800K of our tax dollars going to Africa to teach men to wash their genitals after sex. If that doesn’t improve the country’s physical and human capital, I don’t know what does.
Oh, sorry, did I interrupt your insanity? Pardon me, do continue, George.
Again, this belief is not without justification: a quarter-century of calling the government bad has resulted in bad government. But the argument that stimulus spending is inevitably wasted is patently false: the New Deal produced the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Triborough Bridge in New York and many other public utilities still in use today.

Um, no George. I could call the sky brown with pink polka-dots for twenty-five years and that wouldn’t make it so. When government actually is bad, and people have been noticing for twenty-five years, that’s something altogether different. And your observations that previous “stimuli” have resulted in such things as the TVA bring up a very salient point: that was then, this is now. There is no such achievement to point to as a success from Obama’s Stimulus plan. The only bridge that has been built is the one to our ruin. But the signs are really pretty.

Soros concludes by giving us his plan for our demise and his profit. After all, his track record shows that he is very good at manipulating currencies for his benefit always at the expense of someone else.

…but the Obama administration’s stated goal of halving the budget deficit by 2013 while the economy is operating far below capacity is not one of them. Investing in infrastructure and education makes more sense. So does engineering a moderate rate of inflation by depreciating the dollar against the renminbi.

Really? I don’t think the word “investing” means what you think it means, especially when it comes to spending our tax dollars. Back when we had a roaring economy, those “investments” were called taxes, and we paid them so we could have effective schools and sound roads and bridges. And inflation might help you, but you’d be the only one. Of course, those on fixed incomes would be harmed the most, but we know that you don’t care as long as you make your precious money. Funny how, when Obama rails against the "evil rich", he doesn't mean you.

George, you’ve made your fortune. Now please take your bazillions, go buy an island somewhere, establish whatever type of government that pleases you and your Jesus complex, and kindly leave us alone.

Forever.
